Four Dentons Kensington Swan lawyers have today been named as Rising Stars by NZ Lawyer. This comes hot on the heels of the firm’s combination with Dentons—the world’s largest law firm.

The Rising Stars list recognises leading legal professionals aged 35 and under, who have demonstrated the skills and aptitude needed to become future leaders of the profession.

The four Dentons Kensington Swan lawyers named as Rising Stars are: Wook Jin Lee, Partner; Reece Leggett, Senior Associate; Renee Butler, Senior Associate; and Madison Dobie, Solicitor.

Wook Jin Lee joined the firm in 2019 and advises on the full suite of transactional and corporate advisory matters. He has significant experience in M&A, private equity, joint ventures and equity capital markets across a wide spectrum of sectors including electricity, technology, telecommunications and hospitality.

Reece Leggett is recognised for his expertise in helping clients resolve commercial and civil disputes, with a particular focus on competition law. He has experience in a wide range of dispute-resolution methods, and has appeared before arbitrators, mediators, and the courts.

Renee Butler plays a significant role in Dentons Kensington Swan’s Employment team, providing clients with pragmatic and commercially focused advice. Renee’s expertise has been honed working on significant health and safety and employment cases in addition to leading the workplace immigration team for the firm.

Madison Dobie is a solicitor in the firm’s public law, regulatory and litigation team. Madison has completed extensive work on the Canterbury Earthquakes recovery. She regularly advises clients on crisis management and a wide range of public and commercial law issues.
