Dentons Kensington Swan is thrilled to announce that Partner, Katrina Van Houtte has been elected to the Board of Infrastructure New Zealand.

Infrastructure New Zealand promotes best practice in national infrastructure development through research, advocacy and public and private sector collaboration, with the goal of having New Zealand infrastructure standards meet world class standards.

Katrina is a Partner in Dentons Construction & Major Projects team and advises clients across the wider infrastructure sector. Before that she was one of Fletcher Building’s senior legal counsel, where she advised all the business units of Fletcher Construction. She was closely involved in supporting the Building & Interiors business through significant challenges, including sitting on its Senior Leadership Team during the recovery phase. She was also a member of the project governance teams for some of Fletcher Building’s most significant projects.

She has a deep understanding of the whole industry and what drives good outcomes on projects, as well as insight into the structural problems in the way major projects are procured in New Zealand. She believes those problems are holding New Zealand back from delivering world class infrastructure. Katrina brings a broad insight and her expertise to Infrastructure New Zealand as a Board member.
